The five gites are centred around the grounds of an old farm and its outbuildings and have lots of old French character.
Sleeping from 4 to 10, they can be taken individually or in any combination. The conversion took place some twenty years ago, and we have been running the property as a family-friendly gite complex, with heated swimming pool, playground area and lots of space for wild games.
All five gites have unlimited free WiFi access.
The houses all have their own personal style and have each built up a loyal following among the many returning clients.
We have continued to build upon the original business and brought our own informal family-focussed and child-friendly style to the property.
La Boulinerie is run as a real family business with our own children having been involved in all aspects from the very beginning.
The Kids’ Club was created on their own initiative and is a popular twice-weekly event, with children queuing in the courtyard waiting for the start, and has since developed into the Holiday Club where activities are adapted to all ages as our original participants have grown with us and the business!
We’re passionate about food, cooking and entertaining, and the weekly meals are an opportunity to share these passions with our guests.
They are very convivial occasions, hugely anticipated by everyone, the children for the evening party atmosphere and the parents for a night off from cooking!
The family-friendly ambiance that we have created at La Boulinerie is evident in the number of returning visitors we have year after year, many of whom have generously contributed their photographs for our website.
In 2004 we decamped to France with our entire family and dogs for an adventure. We have known and loved this area of our adopted country for a very long time – Nicky spent her third birthday in Les Sables d’Olonne! – and we are delighted to share our local knowledge and discoveries with our guests.
