Golf: 5 courses within an hour's drive, some are links courses, and there's no queuing at the tees
Horse riding: in nearby Luçon (10kms) Ste Gemme (3 kms) or the forest of Mervent (25 kms)
Watersports: La Tranche is the European windsurfing centre; La Faute specialises in land yachting and sea canoeing. Sailing and windsurfing lessons and hire available at a lake in Luçon.
Fishing: Details of local regulations available in local Gendarmerie or PMU bar. Tourist passes can be acquired in a PMU bar.
Cycling: Dedicated paths and tracks abound, by the coast or in the forest of Mervent. Alternatively buy a local map and head off from home.
Walking: Many marked tracks and walks exist locally and throughout the Vendée, (local maps available). Many local associations have regular guided walks. Information available.
